Finding my Way is the name of the article in the current issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry, which features my jewelry pouches. I thought I would give you some close ups of the bags, since not all my friends get this magazine, especially overseas. I can't even tell you how much I enjoy making these, and I plan on doing more, as soon as I catch up on everything else! My favorite part of making these is the total freedom I can have with the stiching, very similar to painting, I think it is the actual physical motion involved that makes me feel good. The other favorite part I have is in the last photo, the yellowish looking sideways running text. That is a transfer that I made off of a Polish newspaper that I found in a frame behind my grandmother's communion certificate, a beautiful piece in itself. In order to get the text to read the right way I had to take it to Kinko's and get a reverse copy, so when I did the transfer it would come out correctly, not that I think a lot of people would actually notice, but I would, and I have used this newspaper copy in some of my other art.
I will have new jewelry soon in the shop. In the meantime, thanks for visiting and I always love your comments!
