As you can tell, I have been spending a lot of alone time. Besides the usual juggling of exhaustion, of dealing with autoimmune, headaches, real job, and real life, I have been spending some moments here and there teaching myself to solder....rather slowly...baby steps, but getting there. I have wanted to make these earrings for myself for probably 2 years now. It finally happened. They are not perfect, but that is good. I embrace imperfection, craggly little divets and spots that remind me of daily life. I am enjoying practicing sawing, I really like it. Soldering is more of a challenge only because of the shakiness of my hands, but I will persist!
These are for me......
This necklace I spent a long time working on also. It was a process of working through a puzzle of sorts, but I am very happy with the way it turned out. I used a few different techniques in this one, again, sawing the bird I am most proud of. The nest was fun to make, a technique I learned in Stephanie Lee's Homesteading Course. I incorporated my favorite bits and baubles of building a nest and home and a safe place. The necklace itself will take you on a journey, you just have to be courageous enough to begin.
Wishing everyone courage, for whatever reason you may need, whatever aspect of your life.
I am always grateful for you, your comments, and visits.
