IN LOVE

I have recently discovered that I enjoy making these journal pages so much, because I am making such a statement about my personal life and my personality when I do it....da....yes, it took me ages to realize that I didn't pull random things together. It annoyed the hell out of me forever that it takes me so long to make a page. If it doesn't sit well and feel right, it is not done, no matter what. I still do not like to write, never have, I prefer to be the artist that I am and portray my feelings in pictures and techniques, and the audience can always interpret what they will. That has always been art to me. This is as open as it gets, and it has been helping me feel better.
It was a rough week, haven't felt good, emotional chaos, up and downs, and I am just trying to figure it all out. I am doing my best, and I appreciate each and every one of you for your kindness, encouragement and genuine love. You are all a part of me and my process, and I am grateful.

MILAGRO III

I may never tire of these. It is so true when they say that it is the little things in life that are important and meaningful, and the process or the journey that we take.
BTW, my favorite part of this one is that tiny little crack in the rivet....serendipty!

Thank you for visiting, and wishing you a great weekend journey!

MORE HEALING HEARTS

I have a small obsession now with milagros, they are making me feel really good, and as long as that continues I will continue to make more. I just listed two in the shop, and have another to list later.

As always, it's the simple things in life that mean the most.

Thanks for visiting and sharing in my obsession.

OPHELIA

I made this necklace for the Art Bead Scenes June challenge, and really love how it filled up with so many goodies. The pendant and the green washer shaped bead, as well as the round cream bead are all from Yolanda's Clay. I love how they are so organic and natural looking.
The faceted carnelian bead is one of my favorite strands, and I use them sparingly, hoping they will never run out! The gorgeous seed beads were a gift from my friend Dorthe , they catch the light perfectly. I used black galvanized steel wire to put this together, making it more economical.
Hope everyone is staying cool this week, and staying safe in the heat. Thanks for your visit and for taking a peek!

JEWEL SCHOOL

Okay, here we go again with the photos being out of order, but I think you'll get the idea! I am so honored and privileged that Bead Trends asked me to do a article for their jewel school when I submitted this necklace a few months back. I decided to submit it after I was so inspired by Renate's pendant that she gifted me with. Renate is a brilliant jewelry artist and has her own blog too, "Put A Little Magic in your Life". I am still in awe of it, it is truly gorgeous and I knew I had to do something special.
If you pick up the July issue of Bead Trends you can read the entire article, and I have to thank Tatia, and the staff for making me look great! Every page of Bead Trends is filled with the most gorgeous photography, it is dripping with jewels and inspiration, and I am so proud to be included with so many other fab jewelry artists.
Thank you Bead Trends, and Renate, for this beautiful gift!

(Sorry for the so so photos, my scanner is broken so I had to do photos)

MEDITATION AND WONDER

This is a new journal page that I made tonight. It seems every time I see a woman's face, I am very intrigued, and motivated to decorate it. Embellish it and make her come alive somehow. I also think I am drawn to this because I feel I am every woman's face I see, somewhere buried in there, and I guess this is a channeling of my desires and issues, and that is appealing to me, because the variations are endless, the emotions are forever.

Thanks for visiting, old and new followers, and your supportive comments. Each one of you are part of these pages I make.

My Healing Heart. I created this with the inspiration of friends, faith, kindness, and love. I have plans to make more of these with other variations to offer soon in my shop. It was a joy to create.
Thank you all for stopping by and taking a look, and for your daily inspiration, kindness, and love.

GIFTS AND EARRINGS

I just had to share some photos of these wonderful gifts sent to me by my wonderful friend Karen! Look at this absolutely gorgeous pincushion Karen made for me! I am so in love with it, the muslin, the crochet lace bit, the fancy pins, the lace, and those teeny tiny buttons in the base! Ahhh, I just love sewing notions and doo dads, and I finally have a proper pincushion! I am smiling big every single time I look at it and think of my talented friend. And what can I say about these spectacular religious medals?!! I am speechless really, they are incredible, and I cherish every one. If you go to Karen's blog now, you will see the most outrageously creative fiber necklace she just made. Karen has been featured in Belle Armoire for her fiber jewelry, and she is creative in so many ways.

So now on to another week, another pair (or maybe two) of new earrings! I still love hammering metal a lot, and I really like how these turned out. I think I love green , and the sparkle with the shabby copper makes me happy. Hope you like them.
I don't know about you, but since the blogger issues a while ago, my photos do not post in the order I want them to, so sorry for the layout here. Thanks to all for taking a peek, and I just love all your comments! Hope everyone is having a great week.

THE INFANT

I have really been in the spiritual mindset lately, and it is affecting everything I do. I just loved putting this necklace together, working through the challenge of combining materials , and still having it say what I want it to............passion, faith, hope, and love.

Happy weekend to all of my friends, old and new. Have a great one.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

click on any picture for a better look

My latest journal page. I haven't made one for months again, but it felt right. I have been greatly influenced by some friends works, and together with my thoughts, that always center around religion in one way or another, I had to put this on paper. At first I hated it. I purposefully forced myself to use color, and I think I put myself in shock. It was hard to get used to. But I left it go for a day, and it grew on me. I only wish now that it was not off center, and that it was on a loose piece of paper, because I am starting to love it now.
So, I am curious, do you believe in miracles? What does this imagery mean to you? Share if you are so inclined, it would make me happy yo hear from you.
And I thank you.

WONDROUS

Wondrous is immediately what I thought when I received these blue opal beauties. I so love beautiful stones. They feel like energy in my hands at time, or a segway of tranquility and calm.
I had a great creative weekend with the the extra day off. Hope you all had a great holiday also.
Thanks for stopping by and your wonderful and welcome comments.
