ALICE

Some Alice in Wonderland atc's for a swap. The backgrounds are fabric that I was so lucky to win from Lorraine at Creative Daily during OWOH. Her fabrics are incredible. Just some rubber stamping and collage here. I really had to resist the temptation to keep adding, but I just loved the clarity and crispness, and wanted to be able to appreciate that fabric!

Hope today and every day is an adventure!

FRESH SQUEEZED

available on etsy here

I was twice blessed this month to have two pieces in the April issue of Bead Trends. This one is called Fresh Squeezed. The lampwork beads were made by Sue, of Sue Beads! One look at them and I see oranges, melons, mouth watering summer super drenched color. I love that they have a matte finish to them and the color is so dense and rich. The unusual 80 degree temps have ended here, but my mindset still says spring and summer, and that's where it is going to stay!

And how appropriate that I am swapping some inchies with a theme of the sea and the shore!

I'm just warming up!

LUCKY LADY

This is an atc made for a lottery draw on Paper Whimsy, with the theme of clovers. We had to include at least one clover in the atc for March. I call her "Lucky Lady'."

I have been a lucky lady myself for once again being published in the April issue of Bead Trends magazine. These earrings are featured and are called "Twice as Nice". Made of hand forged sterling and crystal quartz. Very simple. They show off my grandma's creamer!
They are available here on etsy.

Thanks for visiting and all of your wonderful and supportive comments. I couldn't do this without you!

A PENSIVE SOUL

A new necklace. This one represents again my feelings. Usually thoughtful, overwhelming, kind of organized chaos of how I live my daily life. Bits and pieces of things that are beautiful and meaningful. A representation of something that is always open to interpretation.

ROADS AND PATHS

My good friend Lenna is hosting a swap on her blog, Creative Swaps, and the theme is roads and paths. Roads and paths did not have to be taken literaly, and I found myself a bit involved in making these, they became very spiritual and personal. Lenna sent me some fabulous tissue paper, and I went bonkers with it, and am so glad I did! Some images I used are from Ppaer Whimsy, Artchix, scraps, tissue paper, and some other collage sources that I can't remember right now. This project was a great journey in itself!

WITHIN

When I create jewelry, this is where it comes from......within. I believe everything that I do is relevant to what is within me. My faith , love, family, friends, art , creativity, communication, and everything I touch , feel.....within. Most times there aren't any words that I think capture how I feel, it is just within. You either get it or you don't. If you are here and reading this, you probably got it a long time ago...from within. You are all a part of me, you are all within me. I continually am thankful for your support and for taking the time to visit me.

special thanks to my special friend Esther, of Mes Illusions Baroques, and for her sharing the french coin, vintage medal, and black faceted glass bead! I consider Esther as always a part of me and my creativity!

necklace of torn and stamped muslin, hessonite, labrodorite, swarovski crytals,
bali beads, hand cut and stamped sterling and freeform wire, vintage religious medal, handmade twisted jump rings, french coin clasp.

A SPECIAL DAY

Today, I finally got to meet one of my online friends, Roc. Roc and I became friends online through the blog world and art swaps. She only lives about an hour away from me, so today we got together, and it was just wonderful! Roc has a friend near her that owns a beautiful clothing boutique, with some special and unique clothing and accessories, and she was kind enough to ask her friend to look at my work. Again, pure amazement at what friends do for friends, and I had never even met her yet! Well Patti, the shop owner looked at my online jewelry and I agreed to pay her a visit and show her in person. Patti is super, the meeting went GREAT, she made a great purchase, and now will feature my jewelry in her shop, and I am so honored and humbled. Arty people will never cease to amaze me, and that includes all of you that visit me. You all get it!
We went for lunch afterwards, and then I spent more time with Roc. She made my daughter and me homemade lemon cookies...yuuuuummm. We had fun with her pups, Benny and Ruby....here is Benny, he's adorable, Ruby hid a lot.
It was a fantastic day, and my emotions are still overwhelmed. Thank you Roc, for your kindness and your caring, support and friendship...it means the world to me, and I am so happy we could meet. I look forward to the next time, and to meet more of my online friends!
