WORKING ON

Just some peeks of things that I am working on. These pieces may not make it to the shop. I was asked to bring more jewelry to the lovely lady that sells my jewelry in her boutique, so I am getting ready for that. Also, another artist is in the process of purchasing some of my jewelry and having it sent off to another state to sell in her store. I am thrilled by all of it, and have been extremely creative, but I am missing paper art terribly. Yet every time I sit down to do it I feel so overwhelmed to make a mark that I just don't. I have so many supplies, and papers, and mediums that I can't pick one to work with. What is wrong?
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,, and as always for your help and kindness, and comments.

RECENTLY

Recently, as in this past weekend, I went to the flea market to visit my favorite stand. She is really the only lady I visit, and I don't mind! I didn't get a lot of things , but what I got I am in love with. Briana and I fell in love with this vintage piece of material, and I am thinking I am going to make a kitchen valance with it. Lately I have this thing for red..red in home decor, not really jewelry, my red in jewelry turns more to burgundy, but I have broken out a bit with my Happy bracelet a few posts ago! I fell in love with the old red tin still holding the talc inside, and yes, it still has fragrance, mellow, but nice. I have a few old french perfume containers like this that I love....just because. Same for the buttons, I have tons, but these are just so cute, and the patina can never be duplicated. Love that old pin too! I found a beautiful strand of tiny garnets, and a funky strand of amber that really need to lose the gold! I have loads of ideas brewing already! Hope you enjoyed my simple little tour!
Wishing you all a beautiful Eater , holiday, and weekend! Thank you so much for visiting!

RESPECT

RESPECT-available on etsy here

When I made the resin charm in this necklace a looong time ago, I knew it was meant to be in a piece that was special, and it took me forever to resolve that issue in my mind, but I am pleased with how it turned out. I wanted the necklace to be imbued with the meaning of respect, if that was possible......show strength, yet be gentle, not demanding. Strong, but peaceful.
Hope you all feel that strength in your own worlds, and I hope we all continue to strive toward a respectful world.

Wishing everyone a happy week!

CLASSIC

I have wanted to make these forever. There is something ....I know I have said it a million times....very soothing about just simple silver and not much color, classic lines and shapes. A very comfortable feeling.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, despite the rain....keep creating, and thank you for visiting!

SOME NEW ART

Dignity

Spirit Speaks

It has been a very loooong time since I made some art for me, and finally I let it happen. I needed it, er, I still need it. As much as I love my jewelry, I was formally schooled in Fine Arts, and that is the Bachelor Degree that I have. I left that all go years ago to pursue a family, and somehow lost touch of that. As I started to create jewelry a few years ago, and then blog, I suddenly was opened to a whole new world of art! A place where art is for art sakes, no need for justification, or judgement. I started small with atc's, and they are still my favorite, but unfortunately I have very few(maybe 5!), of all the atc's I created. Now, I would like to make some for me, and to continue to experiment and explore what is in my heart. I hope to keep sharing my art with you from time to time., and I appreciate the fact that you visit, and support me!

SUNSPOT

I guess I had my fill of bright color with the last post because this is what my heart said to do today! Muted, mellow, and warm colors of vintage rosary, vintage crystals (set in new settings), and these wonderful faceted citrine briolettes that I received in a trade with the beautiful Rebecca....thank you again Rebecca! I have been so in love with this soft mellow yellow, old yellow color, it just makes me feel so warm and good inside.
Hope you are all having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by, I love your comments and treasure your friendships.
