FLAPPER

The Vincent Price movie really inspired me the other day , so I continue on with my vintage, retro motivation. That combined with some new and easy techniques from Mary Hett's book have given me a look I really like. I made my own headpins with silver and a torch for these and I really like the subtle patina, they way they look all aged , the balls sometimes dimpled and worn looking, in other words.... not so perfect. I really like when things are not perfect, maybe that reminds me of me.

The second pair of earrings I made the other day, and I just wanted to show you how my mood and feelings change from day to day, and what the end product is from that. That's the Gemini coming out.

I was equally happy with the two results.

More beautiful pieces, Sharon! I have got to tear myself away from the paint and get back to my jewellery... I like those double dangles!

I like those double dangles too. Actually I like both pairs a alot. The earwires are beautiful. Isn't using a torch fun? I love that moment of anticipation when the metal will magically turn into a little round ball.

Thank you!! You are always so supportive. I just love that torch, it's such a simple little thing, yet so satisfying!!

Just checked out your lovelies! I love all of them, but my favorite is the last pair of earrings--the colors are beautiful and love the double dangles. I've got to get a torch!

Like these earrings, and the bracelet with the lampwork beads from your previous post is very nice. Keep up this beautiful work!
