I spent some time the other day torching some copper pieces into double ended headpins, and that got me to thinking I really wanted to make my own links, but something different. Of course, one of my favorite things to do is to twist and fool with wire, and I made these little knots out of them. My favorite part of the wires were the little balls on the end, the variation in colors and little subtle dimples sometimes you can get.....
I combined these rustic links with some bling, another one of my favorite things to do, rustic and bling side by side, and accented with my favorite color, amazonite, vintage ruby czech beads, and sterling silver, and one big fat swarovski!

Very cool Sharon! The colors look rich together.
BTW - I'm attempting some ATC's tomorrow. Wish me luck!
What a gorgeous new piece, Sharon. You've got that combination down...Rustic and Bling. I like it! I'm definitely a "rustic and bling" kinda girl too!
Thank you Cristi and Cindy!
Sharon,
I really love the silver and copper mingling together. I'm a big fan of the bling and rustic too! The color of the amazonite and the copper Swarovski crystal are stunning.
I like this. I really like those little balled up ends on some of the links. Bling and rustic...very good. You've got that one down. It is so Sharon.
I really like it! All of the different elements work really well together. Well done Sharon ;)
Sharon, I love this necklace!!! The colors, the way it is made, the copper. I love it all.
I love this piece..great links!
Love those links, Sharon! Also love the way you wired your focal!
Great necklace, love the copper links and all the stones, especially that yummy crystal drop!
What a wonderful piece!! Your links are just way too cool!! They demand even more attention then the bling!! :) It raises one of those "Oh my gosh how did they do that??" conversations.
Most excellent dear friend, most excellent!!

I really like the necklace! I will have to take a look at your Etsy shop. Your ATCs are so cute and interesting too!
Love the combination!!! very eclectic! my favorite way to mix art.
Love love this necklace and the way you work the links (becoming mad with twisting metal too...).
May i ask a question Sharon ? Are those little balled up ends made with copper too, or with another type of solder ? (don't reply if it is your secret...).
XOXO

very very beautiful... i love the mixing of colors, textures, effects... and your new self-made components... really nice
That is a perfect design. I would love to be able to use a torch, but I am a chicken when it comes to that stuff. I have played around in classes but I am just not sure at home (and I have this wacky self-imposed rule that I cannot work with hot, sharp or other potentially dangerous tools during my 9pm-midnight sessions!) Maybe someday *sigh*
Thanks for sharing!
Enjoy the day!
