DANCE OF THE DRAGONFLY

I do have to admit, that I am a teensy bit proud to have one of my necklaces in "The Best of Stringing" issue, that just came out recently. Sorry again for the lousy photos, but to be perfectly honest, I am coming down with a cold as I type this...I feel it settling into my bones, and I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT, plus, it's just been one of those really crappy days besides that, so I didn't feel like dragging out the lights for the photo, so I just "winged it", as we say. I made this pendant, one of only a few, that was an image transfer, and combined it with some wonderful Gaea beads, swarovski's, hill tribe spacers, and adventurine. Thanks to all my blog friends and visitors for encouraging me and helping me get to this point....you are all my muse, thank you, thank you!!

That is a way cool necklace. And you should be proud..not just a little bit, a shout it from the rooftops kind of proud! I am proud of myself too, especially since I first started getting that magazine I wondered who the wonderful designers were and how they got to be there...now I know! And there is nothing wrong with being proud of your accomplishments. I had no idea that I would be in there, thought I was slated for the Fall issue...I was disappointed at first, but then I opened up the Best of and voila! But the coolest part? Seeing all the names of those I have become bloggy friends with, like you Sharon...it is like I have you all sitting right there in front of me to inspire and lead me on. So go on girl, shout it from the rooftops! (Becuase if you don't toot your own horn, who will?)
Enjoy the day!

Sorry to hear you're getting a cold..it seems many people are right now. Your necklace is beautiful..and a big double CONGRATS to you for being in the two Stringing issues out now. I like Erin's advice...if you don't toot your own horn, who will?...well, your Blog friends of course! I can't wait to see the "Best Of" issue..it wasn't out the last time I was at B&N.

Awwww, thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart! I did want to put in my post a note about all the wonderful artists in the magazine with me, but the late night postings tend to make me a little foggy at the end of the day, and I can never remember to say everything I want to. Congrat's to all the amazing artists included with me!

Sharon, it is a wonderful necklace with a lot of innovation. Love the wire wrapped Gaea bead! Sorry you are not feeling well. I'm sitting here on the sofa feeling sorry for myself because I've got your cold too. We can sniffle and snivel together if you like. Nice cuppa tea?

I love the necklace, it is really gorgeous. Here is a tip for that cold...
two echinacea and two vitamin c four times a day for two days and then twice a day until you feel better. It will help. I have tried it everytime I have had the sniffle coming on, and as long as I cantch it right at the beginning, it has always worked. The results will vary between you not getting it and it being not as bad as it would have been.

Hope you feel better soon.
