JOURNALING 101

click on the photo for detail

copyright sharon borsavage 9-18-2009
collage images, scrapbook paper pieces, light acrylics, rubber stamps, and hand doodling!!

This is my first journal page ever. I am very excited about it, a little nervous, and a little embarrassed that I'm showing it! I am putting it all out there now, ME, uninhibited!! BTW, this was just how I felt the day I did it, that's the point of doing it, right? Everyday is not a flowery day here, but more and more days seem happier to me when I pick up paper and crayons, and watch as my feelings are transformed into something I can look at, and hopefully others will like to look at too!

Hi Sharon
Absolutely beautiful...can this possibly be your first art journal page?? Looks like all of those ATCs really gave you a wonderful foundation because this looks like maybe it's your 100th page - with all of the detail. Thank you for sharing this with us.

Your page is beautiful and so much to enjoy. At first you notice the beautiful flowers and your heartfelt words but as I continued to look around the piece I saw the little polka dot heart with shooting things out of the top. I want to make one of those in jewelry!

What a surprise to wake up to all of these beautiful comments....thanks so much to everyone!! That makes it easier to go to work now, but only for a couple of hours! I swear, I have never done this before, but I do have a painting and drawing background from college.....but still, this is sooo different to me, and I have fallen in love with it!

Oh, Sharon I am so touched that you would share your first journal page with us. It is amazingly beautiful and I do see you in this page. And what I see is really wonderful! To boot, I am so impressed. I wouldn't even know where to start and for you it feels if it has just spontaneously flowed on to the page. Wonderful, wonderful!
