"Thine Eyes"
This is my journey into my brave new world of creation. I am laying low on the swaps, cutting back big time, and creating to create for a while. Making these 2 atc's was really therapeutic...I feel I am transported somewhere else when I make these, to another place and time...I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel so good and I feel that I am pasting thoughts together, some so primitive , it's almost eery, but real. I know I probably sound like a babbling lunatic, I just can't quite describe the feeling. Do you know what I mean? I can't find the words.
I made "Front and Center" using a combination of collage images ,that face was a freebie from a Somerset issue and it really grabbed me. I am sure that it is someone I should know or recognize....I am bad at remembering things like that...history..then I added some pieces of old sewing patterns, and then stamped on top using Golden molding paste that I colored. The crown I cut out of thin copper sheet.
"Thine Eyes" was made using collage images again, thin layers of napkins, and again more colored molding paste and some markers. I really like the texture of tissue paper, napkins, and the patterns.
I see more of this in my future, and must somehow work all this into my jewelry. But for now I am just going with the flow, wherever that may be. My advice for the weekend, go forth and create, whatever, however that may be, and enjoy!
Thanks for visiting and your constant support.

sharon, i love your brave new world!! Truly, this is so wonderful to see and read about how you feel about it. The 'front + center' ATC grabs me, literally. The metal crown spikes and the way you have woven one through the card . . . mmmmmmmmmm. Thine eyes is soft and strong. I believe this is a good path for you that will take you on a wondrous journey, xo lenna
Sharon - I think you are on the right track. What you have described sounds like being in the creative flow (or however you would like to call that "place", where it just flows out of you, without having to consiously make decisions...).
I would love to see you bring your collage and your jewelry together.
I love "Thine Eyes".
I LOVE these - they are so beautifully arranged. Enjoy your PLAYtime and the lovely feeling it provides!
Love them--I love being in the zone!
You inspire me,and always create from the heart.Beautiful cards!!Warmest Regards,Cat

Wow! Stunning...simply stunning...
Such good advice, Sharon! I love that you're exercising your creative freedom in new forms; and I'm sure that some of these techniques will find a way into your jewelry pieces too. Fabulous cards, Sharon! Have a wonderful, creative weekend! Hugs, Terri xoxo
sharon, i love those atcs. but man, i would really like to see you in swaps :)
but i do know how liberating it is to create just to create!
xxoxoxo
Hi Sharon, I just had to stop by and thank you for your lovely comment on my blog - you really touched me. Take care, Penny x
Hi Sharon, I love both of your atc's, it is fun to create for yourself and it shows in these two pieces.

Sharon, these two pieces indeed have a new element to them that I can't quite describe. It's a letting go maybe? I think doing the swaps and the quick pace of creating you did moved you to a place where you could create just to fill what your heart/soul needs. This is good!
Wonderful, wonderful ATCs, Sharon.
I feel I should know the old man too. It will bug me all weekend now :-)
Lovely pieces Sharon. You are creating to please yourself and that is the place you're in, rather than creating to please others. It's free-er I think to do that. Enjoy.
