CUSTOM FIT

It's been a while since I made a journal page, but frankly it just wasn't happening. Then it did. As many of you know if you follow my blog, I have been dealing with health issues that have affected my way of thinking. I feel that I am moving past some of the anger that I didn't even realize was anger, and am beginning to accept things better, and try to make things work best for me......a customizing, er, let's say, just some tweeking. Probably a few more tweeks yet, and I might just get to that custom fit.
I made this double spread out of a practice portrait drawing from Suzi Blu's class in Jan. I found my perfect words on some old dress patterns, I just love the color of pattern tissue, and the transparency creates such a mood for me.
I always have a bird with me, or in my thoughts, and I created the texture with Golden's molding paste and some foam stamps impressed in it, then a wash of light color. I have not been feeling like a lot of color these days, lightness, subtlety, and calmness appeal to me....a feeling toward peace....it makes me feel comfortable.
Thanks for visiting as always. I deeply appreciate it.

This is so striking Sharon. I see such a haunting beauty here. There is portent in these symbols and the color and the swirls around the edges give this an ethereal look, like an angel is fluttering nearby. Thank you for sharing your inspiration! Enjoy the day!

I think I am going better blog visiting and then I get to one like yours and realized it's been longer than I thought since my last visit and I've missed so much.

I'm so sorry to hear of your body not cooperating but am thankful you are getting somewhere in the diagnosis and possible treatment. You will find the custom fit here too - be your own advocate, ask questions, read and inform yourself and ask more questions and make sure you get what you need from everyone around you - friends, family, doctors, blog stalkers like me, everyone. They will all want to help you fight your best fight and win!

Well, I always love seeing your work - jewelry and collage. Everything is so gorgeous and I especially love knowing the concept or motivation for a gorgeous piece like this. I need to find your email. I have something I need to email you.

Hope you have a great rest of the week. Know that I am thinking of you. If you can, keep coming by as there are still more blogversary prizes coming.
