FRIDA

Here is another example of how I have been loving my new sewing machine! This is a postcard for my art groups Frida swap, which could be of any medium....I chose fabric, I just love going crazy with thread. Typically I am not a red person, but it seemed so fitting for this. The vintage lace came out a bit wonky, but that is how my life has been going, kinda wonky, so I just roll with it!
Thanks for taking a peek, and have a fabulous weekend all. I love your comments and I thank you so much for your kindness and support.

The red is perfect. It reminds me of when we saw a Kahlo exhibition many many years ago. So much beauty and so much pain all in one Kahlo piece. I think the red captures that. It is much like that with her life.

I like the red too. I think the lace looks good. I always have trouble stitching velvet.

Ha haa - This is the Frida I have used as the basic of my avatar :D
So no use to say that I love Frida and her works - and I love this, too! The red thread fits perfectly to the pic!
Have a lovely weekend!

Dear Sharon, this is a wonderfull piece- how fantastic with the red heart around Frida- she used lots of red-and she used her heart in everything she did, in her painfull life. Gorgeus.
