PAPER IS GOOD

Let me start by saying that it has been a very long couple of days. My hard drive died Friday night, and had to be replaced, and of course I lost everything. But with a brand new start to the computer comes a brand new start to my art! I was moved to create a journal page this weekend. I have a love hate relationship with pink, but I really can't resist it in the spring. I was inspired as I drove home from work seeing all the beautiful blossoms emerging on the trees, it has been a sea of pink, and very beautiful. I used a bit of a different approach , trying to incorporate not everything old, if that makes sense. It is definitely not one of my better works, but I made it and I am happy about that. I would like to incorporate another style into the way I currently work, so this will be a process, but the process is starting to feel fun again!
Thank you all for your wonderful comments and for stopping by, I appreciate it so much!

Oh Sharito - so sorry to hear of your computer breakdown!!! I was wondering what might have happened - I missed you on the weekend - I noticed you weren't anywhere in the 'virtual' world...
Love your pink journal page - although I have a problem with pink myself...

I also once lost "everything" when the flash of lightning hit mine... but it´s surprising how little you eventually miss all those things you lost - maybe we need these new starts (I first wrote "stars" - maybe that´s true, too...) and the computer takes care of that ;)

This is a very good start for your process - wonder where you´ll end up! Pink is a problem for me, too...

Have a nice week!

YAY PINK!!! This looks really fab and I love the doodling - something I often do myself. All the elements hang together really well and I love the sentiment.
It sounds like spring has arrived at last for you - I do hope so.
Glad your computer is fixed!
Have a great week.

For having this love hate relationship with pink, you certainly turned out a beautiful page. I especially like that it is balanced with the browns and yellows.

There's nothing worse than a computer meltdown! It's good news that you're back up and running. LOVE your pink page! So different and exciting to see you work in a different color scheme! I'm just back from a long, self-imposed and much-needed blogging break and I'm happy that I stopped by today to see what you've been up to. Hugs, Terri xoxo

Dearest Sharon,
I love your pink lady, and the use of the brown, and grenish color with it, is so great looking,--
Sharon, I send you a warm hug -
your paperwork is beautiful.

That stinks about your computer! I hear you about the pink...same goes for me. I have such a hard time creating with colors that wouldn't be one of my "first" choices. But you did fabulous! The brown really makes it not so pink. Excellent work!
