ART AND MORE ART
Art is a huge part of my life. It is my break from jewelry. I love them both as creative outlets, and I am usually torn as to which one to devote time to.
This is a recent collage I did, a 9x12, vintage papers, tissue, vintage stamps, pitt pen and sharpie, gesso and matte medium. I LOVE collage! I feel free with collage. I have no other words.
This is a sketch I did tonight based on Mary Ann Moss's class Sketchbookery...that I LOVE also, but I haven't devoted a lot of time to, but trying! I am not the best at it, but I really like it, because I am constantly learning with watercolors, it lets me work on practicing drawing, and being looser. This is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do...ALWAYS! I want to try to do this waaaay more often.
Thanks for stopping by, and next time I hope to show you the jewelry I am working on!

Oh, I'm right there with you! I love collage (and yours is outstanding), but I also love watercolor and am trying to learn how to be loose, to not over-think everything. It's not easy to do since my job requires analysis of details and my nature is to be analytical. So nice to find a kindred spirit. Thanks for the inspiration.
The best at it, whatever does that mean really. You are creating where you are right now in this moment and it's all beautiful. xox
Your collage my dear Sharon, is outstanding gorgeous, I so love this one for the soft colour tones you used, and the way you are able to make all the bits a beautiful eye catching whole , .
I like to use watercolours, too, but am not good at mixing and softening them up. Your painting of your beautiful flower from your garden is wonderful, and I have much to learm before reaching you, dear friend.
Much love from Dorthe
Love that your taking some time to do what makes you happy. Your collage piece and watercolor are both lovely Sharon. I love how watercolor looks, although it is one medium I have never tried. Looks like loads of fun!
Hugs :)
yay!! Such yumminess, no wonder it makes you feel good! I adore your collage (so you!) and your watercolor is so refreshing, especially combined with your handwriting. Squeezes!!
Absolutely beautiful. Such gorgeous work, and such a reflection of your reflective, gentle spirit. I'm always so happy to see a new blog post here :) xo Julie
It is always lovely to see your jewelry creations and your other artwork too dear Sharon.
Your collage is so powerful and beautiful.
Not sure exactly what it is that speaks to me so deeply but it is very special.
Your water color piece is so pretty (why are we each our own worst critics! I would be over the moon to paint and sketch something like that!)...
Glad you shared these with us.
Happy June to you and yours dear Sharon...
