SIMPLE LOVE

I don't know about anyone else, but when it starts to get hot, well......not hot, but HUMID, I really don't like to wear a lot of jewelry. I do like to wear something simple though, and short, and light, so I made a few of these, combining one of my favorite hand made links with some of the charms that I made a while ago when I was doing the charm exchange. I was really happy with the way this simple little necklace and bracelet came out, and now have about a bizillion combinations going on in my head......and my head is saying, hurry, hurry!!!!, but the body is saying, breathe, and go to bed. Tomorrow I plan on doing some sterling silver hand forged charms. I love to anneal the metal and the beautiful subtle colors it produces.....I thought about stamping designs, such as a flower or leaf, but sometimes I'm really not into all the foo foo ish stuff, just really wanted something simple. Do you think it is too simple with just letters, or would you prefer foo foo designs? I will continue with these because I like them, but I think I need to get a realistic view of what people are attracted to......so I value your opinion greatly, you are my friends! Have a SIMPLY LOVELY day everyone!

Very beautifully made necklace and bracelet, Sharon! Since I haven't a fluff of an idea what a foo foo design is; can't really give you an answer. I say: make what speaks to you.
I am a novize at ATCs too - but I find them sooo interesting!

Sharon, I love your summery look, just as you have made them, no extras needed.

I think they are cool and classy on their own!

I love simple. But simple is the hardest to do I think. To know when there is just a enough. You've done it really well with these pieces. Your wire work is beautiful all on it's own. And I love how the single charm and the simple glass bead all work with each other. As for the charms, single words work for me, as would just hammered, or a stamped design on a smallish charm. It's the combination of elements, perfectly balanced, that I'm attracted too.

Thanks Renate, Debbie, and Sharon P!

Renate, My "foo foo" is just a little slang for fancy or fancier!

I like both foo foo designs and simple. I'm adaptable that way. :-) I looooove this set Sharon! It made my neck and wrist itch for the pretty.

How perfect Missy!!

Like you in the heat and humidity simple&cool is best I'm really liking the stamped unfro fro charms these days. :) You have really shown off your beautiful links perfactly!! I like that they are in a non-sterling metal. In this season we completly give up wearing any sterling because it literly tarnishes while you wear it!! :( leaving ones skin black (double yuk)

PS. I know this is a bit rude (as my mum would say) but if you don't mind will you tell me what gage you used for your wire?? I'm tring to get an order for wire put together and I'm not sure which of the larger gages besides 20 to order???

I'm so amazed at the care you put in to this...all of those handmade links. I'm like you, sometimes I like all of the "fluff" and sometimes I like simple. Your pieces here are just perfect thew way they are. :-)

Perfecto Sharon!
One of these days I will go on a shopping spree, I so love your pieces. The wire work is fabulous and the word charms set it all off so nicely. I've said before I like the rustic beauty of many of your pieces!!! I am also doing some new pieces in clay with single words, it has just been too hot to bake them ;(
