CHANGING
I think the freedom of expression I have been experiencing in creating mixed media has helped me see my jewelry making in a bit of a new light. I made these earrings recently, and I think for me they are a bit looser style, less refined than what I am used to, and RED....I rarely consider red as a color to work with, probably because I am so pale!!!, but when I won these gorgeous red glass beads from Cindy Gimbrone, along with the chinese coins, they called for me to do something. Asian and far eastern cultures have been appealing to me as of late, and that you will see surface in some of my art soon. Being a Gemini, I go in and out of styles, mediums, colors.....and get bored easily, and change obsessions often!! Is anyone else a Gemini??? I'd love to know if you experience the same thing. I can wake up in the morning with an urgency to do a specific thing, and by nighttime I won't even consider it because I think it's ridiculous!! I'm curious to know how many other people DRIVE THEMSELVES CRAZY?!!

Oh Sharon you sound like me! I get bored easily too and go from one thing to the next! I think it keeps it all interesting though. Your new swingy earrings are beautiful. I really like those stick pearls!
Not sure it's because you are a Gemini, more seriously because you are as all artists and creators, curious of everything around you.
That's what nourrish you and your soul. Look at people who like routine, they are not curious, they like to do one thing after another. So sad...
Sharon, your earrings are luminous, the first one look like cherries and the way you combine brown turquoise and pearl in the second is just so nice.
Have a great day.

the chinise coins earing are just gorgous!! this red is very intense!!
i love love little gemini!!
Sharon, I don't think you are alone in going from one thing to another. I have to make lists to stay on track or else who knows what I'll get up to next. The colour in all of these earings is amazing. I think working with more colour in the ATCs is definitely affecting your jewelry. Isn't that a lovely thing!
OMG! These earrings are FABULOUS! I am particularly drawn to those red beauties! Wow! I wondered how your jewelry art would transform after you immersed yourself in mixed media paper arts and wow! (Did I say wow!? lol) xo - Michelle
Lovely earrings, Sharon. You are stepping out of your comfort zone everywhere - and it is great! I'm also not sure it has to do with your astrological sign. I am a Scorpio and I want to do everything too!
I wonder which planet is responsible for artists and associated creatives? I think I will go look that up...
I also agree that is wonderfully exciting to grow as an artist by stepping out of our comfort zone, to move into other mediums and styles we don't typically do. These red earings truely are lovely... very inspiring!
I'm a Taurus and it happens to me too! I love the red earrings, and I love the composition of the blue ones!
Awwww . . . .It looks as though one passion is influencing the other - and in a GOOD way! Kudos for recognizing the "influence"! You've opened your eyes, your heart and soul to new avenues, and the results are showing. Stunning pieces! Hugs, Terri xoxo
Ohhh, all of you have made me feel all warm and fuzzy, thank you my friends!!
these are great! like a butterfly, i flutter from style to style too - but there remains that uniqueness of sharon to each design... it's fun to try new things and these are great!
Love the earrings! I'm into earrings right now. I seem to go into jewelry phases. Sometimes it's all necklaces and then it's all something else! It's a woman's prerogative to change her mind, you know! I change my mind constantly! I can never stick to one thing and I go back and forth and sometimes even go back to ideas I had a year ago that I dumped away! I'm a libra and libra's can't make their minds up about anything! Maybe it's an 'Air Sign' thing :) but it seems everyone goes through this!
Yay - a fellow Gemini! Must be why I love both pairs of earrings. The red ones are just juicy and delicious looking!
The red caught my eye right away I forget in eastern culture what does the color red stand for ? I know it is something really meaningful.
These are indeed all beautiful. Love your color combination. And, yes, I have the same thoughts! Don't think it is an exclusive Gemini trait. (I am a Virgo =)
love the red Sharon!
I think that all your artistic pursuits make you stronger. And less bored! I have to move from one thing to the next. That is why I refuse...REFUSE...to make the same thing twice! I call it my artistic vision, but it has more to do with me being bored than anything else! Love what you have done! But then again, I always do...Enjoy the day! Erin
