As always, it doesn't take long to reach for the metal again, and this time I definitely had something in mind. Lately, their has been a lot of medical issues surrounding my family, (not me), and even people I know from the blog seem to be facing somekind of issue like this. It touches everyone, young and old, somewhere, somehow, and sometime, and it is a BOLD reminder of the fragility of what we have. I created this necklace working through those thoughts, transferring them to metal, and hoping that it will come to represent for someone the hard struggle of life, the bangs and the bruises, both physical and mental, and that shimmer of hope that IS always there, if we are brave enough to continue the fight.

What a beautiful piece. I love the rustic look and it's a great long length. Thinking of you and your family...hope your Father in Law is on the mend.
How lovely, Sharon! Yes, the necklace too, of course - but I mean, your thoughts! Hoping the medical issues will all be resolved soon. And hoping your heart is still shining!!
it's beautiful sharon,; and very true.; all that you say is very true.. we have to fight...
What a beautiful and thoughtful piece. Simple but full of sentiment.

I wish your family the best. It's harder to see someone you love in pain then to experience it yourself. Your necklace is wonderful! The metal heart is so creative.
a lovely display of your thoughts and feelings...best wishes to you and your family
I love how you've transformed your thoughts into a work of art. It's like a talisman as well as a reminder of the truth in your words. Beautiful sentiment and wish you all the very best.
How true your message is. I hope things are better for your loved ones. Lorrie

it's lovely that it is so elegant, yet primitive - no easy thing to do.
