BROCADE

Up high on the list of my favorite things to do is to work with LeAnn Weih's ceramic pieces in my jewelry! The beautiful hoops I bought from her were no exception. I really had something completely different in mind when I saw them, but when I received them and got them in my hands, they instantly reminded me of a very rich fabric, so detailed, textured and smooth feeling at the same time! Luxurious feeling is what I call it.....they appealed to my senses!! So I used some twisted sterling jump rings I hade made, and twisted the handmade headpins I made also, I really liked the ornateness of that look. Some turquiose and ruby, and that was it, I was happy!

It's fun when I'm up late to stop by your blog and see your latest posts! You're right...LeAnn sure makes some wonderful ceramic pieces. I love the shapes, colors and textures she uses. Your earrings turned out so beautiful!

Oh Sharon,

These are ever so simple and delicate!! They show off your beautiful wire work and LeAnn's amazing clay and glaze work!! :) The little ruby is truly a perfect touch. It draws your eye in but doesn't distract from the whole effect. :)

fantastic. love the twisted jump rings and twisted earwires! I've never seen earwires like that-love the balled ends. You've really added a lot of attention to detail to take these from wonderful to fabulous!

These are very pretty, and you have inspired me to get out all the ceramic jewelry pieces and buttons I made before I quit ceramics 2 years ago and do something with them, or maybe even set up an etsy shop and offer them for sale.

I love the way you twisted the wire on the earring hook itself. The color is gorgeous on these. They won't last for long!
