Use bits and pieces of fabric and papers that you love and make a journal page that makes you happy. That's what I did, and it made me happy, and I am hoping to make more. It gives me great satisfaction to use paper and fabrics together, especially vintage. This was all spurred on by that beautiful tag with the bird that the fab Julie Whitmore sent to me with a piece I ordered. I made a copy because the original I want to frame by itself. Nuts, I know, but so be it!Thanks for sharing in my nuttiness, and have a great rest of week!
Sharon, you have crafted a beautiful Birds Nest journal page. I love the birdie image as well, and all the layers and gorgeous stitching. I am glad you truly enjoyed yourself : ) Hugs, Terri
I don't think you are nutty at all-it sounds like a great idea to me!! I so love seeing you express yourself this way, Sharon. You kNoW that I love your jewelry, but it is so fun to see you putting vintage papers and fabric together. I'd say -keep doing what makes you haPPY!! xox
I love your nuttiness, dear Sharon- and does the same myself :) And I love your page,--so stunning with that fabric in gold /black- and the green background-the black thread used ,and so beautiful bird tag. How is February ? Hugs and love, Dorthe
The layering of the different materials is so much like how birds build their nests using all those found fibers and twigs. I love that about this page.
So gorgeous page of journal! I want to watch and watch this. Really awesome work... It's great that you are happy, Sharon. Have a nice weekend, Małgosia
Nice nest, think I will crawl in and rest awhile. Love that leaf and vine stitch, wonder if my machine has that, hmmm, have to check? wonderful work. xox Corrine
Hi Sharon I think we can be nutty together - I love being "nuts"! A very yummy bird's nest here with all the bits and pieces that we love to create with including bird images. You, like me, like machine stitching too I can see! Thanks for visiting - it is always nice to hear from you my friend! Sending hugs and love, Suzy

eek !!! I am mad for this paper, lace, tea dye, free-motion sewing. Course those clay faces are all looking at me expectantly.
Your color section is so spicy and warm.
