I finally got around to using some of my gorgeous vintage buttons. I had this on the list of things to do for while now. I see more of these in the future since I have quite a collection, and what better way to use them! It's a fun piece! I could use some fun as the impending snow is again upon us for this week, and ice. It's looking like more jewelry time for me!
Stay warm , have a great week, and thanks so much for visiting!

I recently received so many gifts from friends, I have to show you all of this talent, and remember, this is just a portion, there are so many details and tiny wishes of love everywhere in my home! The top picture here is a photo of some wonderful goodies sent to me by Dorthe Hanson of Denmark! Dorthe is such a will see that if you visit her blog here, she is so very talented.
This gorgeous heart was made by my freind Karen, who is a fabulous artist, collector of antiques, and works wonders with crochet! Karen was featured in the latest issue of Belle Armoire Jewely....please check it out! She has sent me tons of beautiful fabric and beads, felts and trims. Visit her blog here.
This photo is a gorgeous scarf that I received from Delila in Finland....she crochets these wonderful scarves, and the necklaces are made with ribbon, beads, and really unique acorns, and birds that she makes out of clay, and then paints. Delila loves the forest amd it shows in all her works. you can visit her blog here, you will be enchanted!

Hope you enjoyed sharing my love, and hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Here is another example of how I have been loving my new sewing machine! This is a postcard for my art groups Frida swap, which could be of any medium....I chose fabric, I just love going crazy with thread. Typically I am not a red person, but it seemed so fitting for this. The vintage lace came out a bit wonky, but that is how my life has been going, kinda wonky, so I just roll with it!
Thanks for taking a peek, and have a fabulous weekend all. I love your comments and I thank you so much for your kindness and support.

This is mine.

Thanks for visiting...have a beautiful week!

Yes, I have been pretty much nestled in my own little house and world these days. I don't really feel like talking a lot, or writing, but I still seem to have a desire to create jewelry. I know it is becoming a great bore and quite redundant as I continue on this medical mystery journey, and this is the main reason for my hibernation. I have to start an ivig treatment next week, I am nervous, I am still waiting for results of more tests, and I am tired , and it is all such a downer. So I may post a lot of pics , but may not write too much. I love to still bop in on everyone's blogs, because they make me happy!
Thanks for visiting and al your wonderful comments.

I started making some new necklaces this weekend. I really have been loving cloth and material these days, so I wanted to incorporate that in my jewelry. I also have wanted to use some of my vintage parts and pieces, little details that are so special to me, so I came up with these, and I am pretty happy with them. They convey how I feel, and the cloth gives me that added warm feel that I like so much....comfortable. You can find these on my etsy by clicking here.
This gorgeous girl is a transfer on a beautiful handmade heart that my sweet friend Marie sent me. Isn't she precious? Marie is a very gifted and talented friend, and if you don't know her blog already, visit her here, at Lost Bird Studio. She sent me some other goodies, including a tea, which I love since I made a cup already! And that little red velvet tag is just so perfect. Thank you so much Marie!

And thank you to everyone visiting and looking and commenting, you are all special.

Remember this from a few days ago, a cover for my journal this year? Well, as my mind would have it there has been a change of plans. I don't fight the inner turmoil anymore, I just go with it! Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, but it just wasn't what I wanted......soooooo, this is what I made instead. I have been obsessed with my new sewing machine, and can finally do all the things I want to do, and this was one of them. I am happy with this, and I really love creating this. I have a bizillion other ideas, but this is good for now! Don't fret, this is a jacket that I made to go over the cover, so I can pull it off at any time to see the other art underneath.

You all know how I love that word "within", it says so much to me...I believe each one of us has the power within to be, do, or believe whatever we need. I have been greatly influenced over the past year by Ruth Rae's book, Layered, Tattered, and Stitched. The words soul shall be...what lies within, are text to use from her book, and oh boy, when I saw those, I knew this was meant to be, these are my words, this is what I feel , all the time.
Found the adorable farthing coin on a vintage charm bracelet....perfect with the vintage and grungy looking button.
Dyed cheesecloth I did sometime ago

On another note, as I have been scattered all over the place with creativity here and there, two more pairs of earrings I just listed on etsy, you can find them here.

Thanks so much for taking a peek today , I always appreciate your visits and comments.

Hey, I finally made it back to Tea Tuesday, in an effort to fulfull my self imposed challenges of trying new things this year!
I came upon a blog yesterday, Robin and the Sage, that I completely fell in love with, and it stirred up a lot of forgotten memories of when my daughter was young. If you visit the blog you'll see I am talking about Beatrix Potter, and Briana had a few pieces of this beautiful Wedgewood china from way back when she was a wee one. So I sat digging thru newspaper wrapped pieces last night till I found the cup, and instantly there is a smile on my face and the day is magical.
I chose Bigelow Orange & Spice today, sent to me by my lovely friend Karen, and I have to say I love it! I may have to have a coffee chaser though because the tea is caffeine free!
BTW, after using the tea bag and resting it on a paper towel, you will get the most amazing color towel for your next mixed media piece!
Don't forget to join Kimmie here, and all the other T Tuesday bloggers, and thanks for visiting!
Have a beautiful day!

The process continues to discover and release the inner madwoman inside, as I applied those thoughts to create this cover for my journal which will be part of my art group's journal prompt....a new prompt each month. So far I got this done.....I had so much fun with a little craziness here. This month's prompt is "what color inspires us?" More on the answer to that later!

Another self indulgence this weekend was to purchase a tutorial online and make this bracelet for myself. I fell in love with the color of these pearls, and I so enjoyed the process of wrapping each one tight but loose, like an egg in their nests, carrying on my wrist each day my hopes and dreams. It makes me happy.

Thank you as always for your kind comments, your visits and your friendship.
