TALL TALES

Hooray for the holiday weekend and some much needed time off! Headaches abound again, and I can use some R & R.  I did manage to get this necklace listed the other day, and I was happy with the combination of eclectic elements and what they mean to me.

Trying to enjoy the last bits of summer in my garden.

Squeezed in a journal page too.

Hope you all have a great holiday weekend!

NEW WORK

I was finally able to finish some work this weekend, and get it listed in the shop.  The necklace above I called MUM of course, and it has sold already, and I am so thankful for that. I have the best customers!

The earrings below I call FOLKLORE, and if you know me I adore quirky, twisted, and rustic, and these pearls are just that. The iridescence is gorgeous.  I hope to get some more things listed soon, and start visiting more blogs.
Happy week to all, and thanks for your visits and comments!

QUIET

A new journal page, a quiet one this week.

It's been a looooong week. It started over a week ago with a headache, that turned migraine, and today I finally feel like a human again. Let's hope it lasts.  For this, I am grateful.  I am also grateful for having an article in the fall issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry, and Somerset Apprentice! I am actually in disbelief. I have not received the Somerset Apprentice mag yet, but many of my friends have shared it on FB with me.  I am ever so grateful for this nurturing and creative community of artists that are my friends.

Thank you to all the new followers I see, and all that visit....I appreciate you all so much.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend !

It just seems that lately I cannot find time to come up for air.  I have been working like crazy getting ready to send some jewelry off to a new store, and finally got that done, which in turn called for a mini celebration of making time to create a new journal page! I am not much for pink, but it happened and I like it!

I made these earrings using Lori Lochner's fab glass beads, and they sold instantly! I have found that I reeeeeally love adding my etchings to just about everything!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Despite the fact that I have been working very hard for an upcoming jewelry event, I have squeezed in some time to start my fabric covered journal , a class by Mary Ann Moss called Remains of the Day. I absolutely looooove sewing, and this class. I did manage to complete the cover, but now have to fill the inside with various papers and sewing . I will keep you all tuned into that as it happens.

Some yummy details of the cover, various vintage laces , dyed fabrics from other artists from my hoarded stash, and a wonderful handmade strip of fabric with this quote from Robin Ridener, another fabulous textile artist and friend.

And last but not least is a photo of the current chaos at my workbench, I can honestly say I haven't any plans to get this cleaned up anytime soon. I think I know where everything is.

Have a wonderful weekend my friends, and thanks so much for stopping by. I always love and appreciate your comments!

BUSY BUSY

DUSK was made with my etched copper and some vintage rosary, and romance in my soul.

I have been super busy, and little by little I might get everything accomplished that I need to, but there is always time for journaling and scribbling.....right?

My page below was made pretty haphazardly, but that's what makes it fun! I really can't explain it any better than that!
Hope everyone is busy busy being happy!
