It's been a while, but I am still journaling with collage , especially in the wee hours of the morning....1 am to be exact, but it seems to work for me.
This really is a representation of how I have been feeling, I am not sure why, most likely winter, 2 degrees here last night, and general after the holidays blah. I am trying to work through it.....
Thank you to everyone who comes to visit, and your kindness and support....I appreciate you all so much, and am so thankful for everyone!

Today is the day!! it is the GROW YOUR BLOG party, the brainchild of Vicki, of Two Bags Full blog! This event is all about getting to meet new people, new bloggers, new interests, and new likes! In Vicki's words,
My "Grow Your Blog" event is designed to bring more readers and FOLLOWERS to your blogs. The premise is simple -- visit as many blogs as you can and follow those that interest you. In turn, those folks will be doing the same thing -- and hopefully everyone will grow a bigger blog!
I like the idea myself...I love meeting new people, I love to learn new things, new interest, and I appreciate many different forms of art and cultures. In turn , I hope I can interest you in what I do........
I am Sharon, and I make jewelry, and love to do it! I love to work with metal, I love gemstones, I love to pour my soul out and transform it into jewelry. AND, some days I love to make art! Paint, collage, papers, ink....messes and splashes, it's all good, fun, and therapuetic! All of these things above are my sanity! I love to blog because it connects me with so many like minded people and artists, whether we create the same way or not, we share a passion of creating!
So now , for the giveaway! Just leave a comment and make sure I have a way to contact you, and I will draw a name on Feb. 1st for these:
I made these earrings with Tibetan coral beads capped in sterling, turquoise accent beads, and organic handcut sterling dangles. I also hanforged the earwires.....there is something so special about sterling silver, I know you will love these! They were published in the Winter 2013 issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine. I really am so thankful to everyone whom I have had the honor to meet and share with here in blogland, I want to share with you too! I am so thankful and grateful to all of you!
I am especially thankful to Vicki for organizing this event, and for all of her hard work! Make sure you visit her blog, her creations are incredible!! Have fun visiting all the blogs too, I know I will, I can't wait!

Well, I have spent the whole week trying to build up strength to start creating. My whole house is recovering from the flu this past week, and it was ugly. Thankfully everyone is slowly returning to normal.....it's a slow process. This week has left me feeling like I need color, to push away the dreariness of the winter.
I have had these beads by Donna Millard for ages, and finally got around to using them, and am happy I did....they are really beautiful!
Shades of purple are not usually my thing, but again, something is calling me.....so I put these earrings together, and I like they way they turned out....sparkly, and a pop of something fresh!
I think color is the answer to fight off the winter blues here, so I plan on continuing to try new things and new colors.......my word of the year...TRY!
Thanks for visiting and to all new followers! You too fill my days with beautiful color!

I wanted to start out the New Year creating, so I made this piece as the clock passed into 2013. It felt like the right thing for me to do...it felt good.
I don't have any big resolutions made, the only thing I have decided is to try to be the best person I can be.
Oh, and a wish for peace, everywhere.
Happy New Year.
