I find such solace and peace in making necklaces, especially using vintage pieces and other artisan beads. it's like putting together a puzzle in my mind, one that I have created, and I know when it is finished because I feel good. Old things make me feel good, they have sustenance, character, and warmth. They have endured.

Thank you as always for your visits and comments. I am thrilled to hear from you!

I finally made it back to Tea Tuesday! It's been weeks, but all I can say is sometimes I get it together, sometimes I don't! Anyway, I just had to show off this cute tiny tea cup and saucer that my good friend Karen, from Thread Therapy sent to's a beauty! Karen makes wonderful fiber art goodies, and also has some incredible vintage items in her reconditioned shop. As I sipped from this cup it took me to another place, of prettiness, and daintiness, and a place where niceness is important and to take time to enjoy some simple moments. It seems I forget to do this rather frequently.
Take a wander over to Kimmie's Art in Red Wagon's and visit all the Tea Tuesday takers, and their great blogs! Oh yes, the tea here, not really certain, it seemed a bit flowery. I tried to translate it but didn't get much out of that. Sweet Delila from Robin and the Sage sent me the tea from Finland! Delila has a beautiful blog filled with woodland wonder will be amazed.I am trying to expand my horizons!
Thanks for visiting....and your sweet comments!

Yeah! My cold is just about over, and my pieces have returned from Belle Armoire Jewelry! I wanted to share these close ups with you, but I have the "Within" piece already packed up because it sold before I even got it out of the return box! That was a real nice spirit lifter! A lovely woman from Hawaii wrote to me and asked if I would sell it because she saw it in the magazine....I was , and am, happier than a clam! I had original photos of it, but of course cannot find them right now.
Seek and Love I just added to my etsy shop, I hope they can also make someone happy!

Thanks for your support and visits, without you, this would not be possible, and I feel very blessed.

I was really afraid the muse had left for good. I have not been the same these last few months, and the art left almost 2 months ago. I had no desire, and didn't know why. Maybe it is just as simple as needing a break, but whatever, it's back, at least for now.
This is a postcard for my art group with the theme of numbers. Funny how it appealed to me because as a kid, I hated numbers, hated math, it was the dreaded fear of numbers! Now, they are somehow very significant in different ways in my life.
Thanks for visiting and continuing with me on this journey of jewelry and art, friendship, learning, and love, and all things in between.

I wish I had a looking glass sometimes, but this is as close as I am going to get. These colors and materials really spoke to me all at once. I love the veining in the moss opals, and how they remind me of how fragile life is, but tied to a silk we stay connected and hold on to hope that we will find our way.
Thanks for visiting and have a wonderful weekend!

MERCY-available on etsy here

I am still feeling the connection working with these old relics I found at the flea......flooded with memories of catholic childhood but more importantly how much I have changed and what it means to me stirs me and moves me in ways again that are unexplainable but good, so I don't question that anymore.
Wishing everyone a wonderful week and thank you for visiting. I always love your comments.

This is a little peek at a personal project I started to work on recently. I have always loved embroidery, the little stitches, the colors. I started this a year ago and didn't get very far, but for some reason it has been calling me and I am really becoming obsessed with it. I signed up for this e class by Teresa McFayden of My Minutia , and I love her I said a year ago. Guess I'll just go with it. It is a big departure from my neutral palette, so the color is making me feel good and alive.

BTW, I've had that box of threads since Briana was 3, she is now 21!

Does anyone else get those feelings of loving things that they can't explain why, like this? Little stitches, handwork, seeing colors together, fabrics, textures, cloth, white, string, ribbon??????

This is a big fat thank you to my beautiful friend Lesley in England, who sent me a wonderful RAK yesterday of lovely things that she makes, and I was floored when I got the package! I cannot wait to use this handmade rose petal soap, but it's almost too pretty to open!
Lesley makes the most beautiful cards I have seen, and she sent me this one with my favorite bird...and a super gorgeous heart shaped journal she made. Aaaaaand, the handmade designer fabric lavender sachets. It's like heaven here.
Thank you Lesley, from the bottom of my heart. Sending hugs across the ocean!

Ever, always, continual......that is what runs through my veins when I create pieces like this. A timelessness, a feeling of rightness, a pulse. I think a chunk of my soul went into making this one, but in ooooooh such a good way.

This piece is available here if you are interested.

Thank you as always for taking the time to visit and comment, you are part of the pulse.

This little ole pair of earrings was all I managed to squeak out this crazy crazy week. As you can see I am still in the same springy frame of mind, trying to channel the warm weather! It is ever so slowly eeking into the area, but it doesn't want to stay for sure yet, so I take what I can get!

And now, I want to thank EVERYONE who joined in my giveaway and was kind enough to visit, look ,and leave a comment. I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart, you all keep my spirits up, and the motivation going. I am sad that there can only be one winner...but such is life, and know for sure that I will always have more giveaways to share with all of you like you do with me, your kindness. SOOOOOOOOOO, the winner is.......

A big congrat's Lori!!! I will be in touch so I can get your earrings out to you asap.
Thank you again to everyone!! Have a fantastic weekend!

Just had to share these photos of the jackpot I hit at the flea last weekend. This is the absolute truth......I visit one woman who has a combination of booths. One is jam packed with household items and jewelry, the other side is all vintage clothes, and material, bedspreads, purses, shoes, curtains, etc. I am forever torn between buying jewelry items or things for my house that I don't NEED, but WANT! My next visit I am going to try to treat my self to household things I like, but it is soo soo hard to spread the money!
Chris is her name, and I can tell she has been on the lookout for me because this time, as you can see, she has some of the most awesome religious pieces I have ever seen, and I am currently using them in some projects, again, trying not to keep for myself. I feel so connected when I work with these pieces. They are a part of my spirit, and I look forward to touching them and hoping someone else who may buy jewelry with these included can feel the same understanding that I do.
I also grabbed the cute quilted tray to stash them in!
Thanks for visiting, and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate that.
