JOYEUX NOEL

It has been crazy busy with the holidays and life stuff around here. I find myself so distracted if I sit at the computer, because I want to talk to all of you , and look at your shops, and blog, blog, blog, but I have STUFF to do, and time is running out! I did manage to get a small Christmas piece made, putting some things together that I like, a rubber stamp, spray ink, muslin, sari silk, thread, glitter, pretty papers, and warm thoughts.

Thank you as always for visiting! Hugs to all!

SWING

It's hard for me at this time of year to make anything without some kind of sparkle. I loved this vintage rosary chain when I found it, and it just seemed so perfect with the beautiful faceted rock crystal, plus I love black, and don't use that much of it in jewelry, so this just seemed right. When I was done, they reminded me of the roaring 20's, the flappers, things flaying about, fringe on dresses, and dangly earrings that really swing.
My apologies to everyone for not visiting blogs as much...I have just been exhausted, and trying to catch up with home stuff for Christmas. I hope to be back on track by tomorrow. Again, I appreciate each and every one of you, and feel I am blessed to have your friendship.
Thank you all.

WISH

It is that time of year, right?...... Lots of wishing going on! I made this atc for a swap group on Paper Whimsy, the theme being doors. It was fun to pretend and imagine myself as the girl, and what I would be wishing for on the other side. As a girl, it would have been something pretty, clothes I would imagine that would certainly have to be the envy of my friends. As a woman, artist, wife, mother, daughter, and friend, I wish for love, peace, health, and happiness for all. Nothing else matters.
Thank you as always for visiting and your kindness.

MIRACLES

I made this bracelet recently as a representation of my faith, and what is important to me.
Yes, I BELIEVE in miracles.
The fish for me, and in Christianity, represents those who walk by faith, and not by sight. The briolette next to it represents the beautiful water, and the cleansing of souls. The beautiful shell comes from the water, and the other beads are made by friends who represent my path in life, LeAnn of Summers Studio made the large blue bead, and the green polymer clay bead came from my dear friend Esther Ramos.
For the past few months, thinking about my illness, and trying to keep everything in perspective, I see myself keep turning to my faith more and more as a source of strength. I don't usually share all of my thought process as to how I construct a piece, but this is pretty close. Each one always have significant meaning to it's parts, I don't share that often. But I am getting closer to showing you the real me.

COFFEE IN MY TEA CUP

click on the pics for a closer peek!

Nothing like coffee, and er...tea with a good read, right? Just had to go for the coffee this morning on T Tuesday, and thought I would share a recent little journal I made for a swap in my art group. It is very small, so it is a quick read, and filled with positivity! Some fun little quotes , some fun little art, black coffee, straight up, and I am on my happy way(not!) to work!

Don't forget to visit Kimmie's blog where you can link up with all the other T Tuesday bloggers!

Thanks for visiting and taking a peek into my small happy little world today, and hope yours is too!

LOOK AT THIS

I can't believe I forgot to show these goodies I found at the flea market last week! The pearls are not really very old, but I really loved the clasps so I had to take them. The smaller pearls have a nice aged patina to them. I am not certain what the flowers are made of, I think bone, they were a bit pricey, but had to have them, they are truly gorgeous. The best find of the day and the year are the vintage brass pieces ....the friendship hands and the buckle of some sort with rhinestones. My mind is swirling with thoughts of how I want to use these! The piece in between the brass pieces is a piece of victorian hair jewelry. I had never heard of this but my lovely vintage supply lady educated me a bit on the subject, if you are curious, just google it, and you will be amazed as I was. I was a bit creeped out, but that quickly turned into fascination, and I am sure to be using this braided remembrance in something unique!
The great fabric and laces in the background are from Lorraine Stobie of Creative Daily. We did a little exchange, and I was gifted with her beautiful fibers......I am happy!
