TEA TUESDAY

Hey, I finally made it back to Tea Tuesday, in an effort to fulfull my self imposed challenges of trying new things this year!
I came upon a blog yesterday, Robin and the Sage, that I completely fell in love with, and it stirred up a lot of forgotten memories of when my daughter was young. If you visit the blog you'll see I am talking about Beatrix Potter, and Briana had a few pieces of this beautiful Wedgewood china from way back when she was a wee one. So I sat digging thru newspaper wrapped pieces last night till I found the cup, and instantly there is a smile on my face and the day is magical.
I chose Bigelow Orange & Spice today, sent to me by my lovely friend Karen, and I have to say I love it! I may have to have a coffee chaser though because the tea is caffeine free!
BTW, after using the tea bag and resting it on a paper towel, you will get the most amazing color towel for your next mixed media piece!
Don't forget to join Kimmie here, and all the other T Tuesday bloggers, and thanks for visiting!
Have a beautiful day!

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

The process continues to discover and release the inner madwoman inside, as I applied those thoughts to create this cover for my journal which will be part of my art group's journal prompt....a new prompt each month. So far I got this done.....I had so much fun with a little craziness here. This month's prompt is "what color inspires us?" More on the answer to that later!

Another self indulgence this weekend was to purchase a tutorial online and make this bracelet for myself. I fell in love with the color of these pearls, and I so enjoyed the process of wrapping each one tight but loose, like an egg in their nests, carrying on my wrist each day my hopes and dreams. It makes me happy.

Thank you as always for your kind comments, your visits and your friendship.

GIVEAWAYS!!

I wanted to spread the news of two really generous giveaways today! Patty, from Magpie's Nest, has been published in the current issue of Sew Somerset, and is offering a copy of this wonderful publication to celebrate. Steph, of Purple Lotus Art is also having a wonderful giveaway! Steph lives in Singapore, and creates beautiful mixed media art. She is offering Somerset magazines as well, and collage materials of Asian influence to boot! Go visit Steph to enter and see her beautiful creations!

There is a lot of love going around blogworld today!~

BIRDS ON THE BRAIN

I recently made this group of atc's for an art group swap...of course the theme of birds and eggs. It has been a lousy week with medical stuff again, among other things, but I am managing to keep muddling along a bit...things really are so much better if I can push myself to create. I imagine it is hard to listen to this already at this point, but this is my life and all of you help me in ways you will never comprehend, and I so appreciate that.
I am trying to keep the birds in my head and the thought of flying free!
Thank you for your visits, comments, and friendship.

SWEET SWEET BIRD

I almost hate to part with this...except for the fact that I do try to supplement my income with jewelry sales. I fell in love with this sweet bird by Nan of Spirit Rattles, and it was in my fav color of course. Nan's beads tell a story all by themselves, so I just accented that bird a bit with some stones and bits and pieces like I do, making a story of my own.

Available here on etsy

Thanks so much for visiting, I am always grateful.

MORE

At this point I am speechless as I show you more gifts that my friend Karen, from Thread Therapy has sent to me! I will let the pictures speak for themselves. There is so much more you don't see, but I am sure you get the idea, and Karen's friendship and support is as abundant as this and more!

Thank you Karen!
