 Since working on the prayer flag project, I am so obsessed with textiles, so I used some beautiful sari silk I had to make these earrings.   I just love the look of hard and soft together, metal and silk, vintage and bling.

And old buttons won't let me rest either.

FLEA MARKET GOODNESS

 There is nothing that makes my soul sing like some great finds at the flea market....well, just going makes me all tingly! I know, I am weird, but I have one lady I see all the time, for years, and I could find things in her place for years and years to come! What do you think I will do with these vintage handkerchiefs, slips, and vintage buttons? I have many ideas a brewin!

Sneak peeks of prayer flags for a swap with my good friend Lenna Young Andrews.   Lenna has a fabulous blog dedicated to swaps.....here, and her personal blog ...herehttp://creativelenna.blogspot.com/. Both are wonderful to say the least! I soooo enjoyed doing this, an opportunity for me to use some of my vintage buttons and bits and pieces of lace, some new, some vintage,  and various fabrics that I adore for their texture and color ! Three days and headache free....yay!!  So, I got a chance to make some jewelry. I have been loving these patterned beads I bought....they add a bit of texture, mystery and character. They conjure up stories in my head, but I will leave the interpretation up to you!

TALL TALES

 Hooray for the holiday weekend and some much needed time off! Headaches abound again, and I can use some R & R.  I did manage to get this necklace listed the other day, and I was happy with the combination of eclectic elements and what they mean to me.

NEW WORK

 I was finally able to finish some work this weekend, and get it listed in the shop.  The necklace above I called MUM of course, and it has sold already, and I am so thankful for that. I have the best customers!

  The earrings below I call FOLKLORE, and if you know me I adore quirky, twisted, and rustic, and these pearls are just that. The iridescence is gorgeous.  I hope to get some more things listed soon, and start visiting more blogs.
