FEELING SMALL

So, this is how I feel sometimes.....do you? It actually made that feeling go away by making this piece....I still don't know why though.

This weekend brought an opportunity of time, and a chance to further my "finding my way syndrome". This bracelet was laying in the back of my mind for a while, and finally made it's way to fruition. I am "finding", that this combination of fabric in my jewelry work is something I really like and enjoy. I love the freedom of this process, and it feels good to the touch. I want to continue to explore this medium, and have some more ideas already. I'd love to hear what you think, since I feel I really am putting myself out there, and maybe this is too organic, but I do know it feels good in my mind.

ENCRUSTED

This piece was influenced by summertime....the beach, the blue of the sky and the water, and the treasures they all hold. Those small pools of water that swirl and collect the tiniest wonders, magical and sparkly colors, and pieces of the universe. The passing colors in the sky, bits of light and silver cloud linings all wrapped into one.

SUMMER NIGHT

When I got this gorgeous pendant from LeAnn of Summers Studio, I instantly thought of flowers at night, against the dreamy dark blue sky. They seem to dance and have a life of their own. I strung them against browns (twigs, stems , and mulch), and blues of the highlights that bounce off the petals by the light of the moon.
